Protect Our Small Traders

Minimarket large presence in the middle of the village is a common thing that has happened today. Various facilities provided minimarket make village’s consumers  shopping  at this minimarket. So do the impossible if it becomes a minimarket existence as a threat to small traders who used to sell in the village. It must be hard not to happen, since the establishment of a minimarket, many customers are switching to minimarket and many small traders have decreased they revenue or even collapse.

Because of that various phenomena, authors triggered to find ideas for solutions to address the reality of what happened in the community. The idea that we managed to raise is the need for government efforts to limit the presence of this minimarket. Thus, the existence of a dominating minimarket not take the revenue from the small traders around. Besides, the government also needs to issue regulations governing the maximum distance limit between minimarket each other in some district. With this regulations, government can provide opportunities for small traders to continue expand its business while still dealing with price competition minimarket. But at least, this effort will help small traders in the business. Besides, each minimarket can have a more optimal benefits from before. In other words, the distance set by the government will provide many benefits, both for entrepreneurs minimarket and society in general. Because of this presence may also prevent a monopoly in the trade or unfair competition between minimarket in a region.

Meanwhile, another idea that need to do is with the government policy to facilitate infrastructure in the traditional markets. Thus, traditional markets remain a field for small traders to keep trying. In addition, people prefer to shop at traditional markets that have facilitated than minimarket with its all the luxuries. Furthermore, the existence of traditional markets will get the recognition from the community or even a community icon.

That’s all of  ideas that authors can write to revive the business  that has been pioneered by the small traders. With this idea, authors expected small traders can expand their businesses and traditional markets and  more consumers fell satisfy in order to provide a variety of daily needs.
